Alfalfa is found in the legume family, it's also known as Lucerne in other countries aside from the United States. Alfalfa is used for kidney, prostate, and urinary conditions. It is also used for Asthma, high cholesterol, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, upset stomach, and bleeding disorders. Alfalfa is a good source of vitamins and minerals like A,C,E and K4, calcium, potassium, phosphorous, and iron. Alfalfa seem to prevent the absorption of cholesterol in the gut and lowers the LDL level over all. Alfalfa is very helpful to have on hand because of all of it's uses!
